Blogging is definitely one of the most popular activities on the Internet. There are literally millions of bloggers, and even more blogs. Thousands of new blogs created daily, why don't you start yours? It's popular for many reasons. I personally think that the main reason is not money, but passion. Sites like Blogger and Wordpress made it really easy for people without any HTML/PHP knowledge to manage a mini website, which is called a blog. As it is so simple, not just Internet marketers, but also other people are using blogs. Some of us blog for fun, some of us want to make money. Let's see how it works.

While there are quite a lot of ways, how you can make money blogging, probably one of the most popular one is AdSense. I should have heard about it, because AdWords and AdSense are advertising programs developed by Google. So if you know Google, which I think you definitely do, then you should know AdSense as well. In short, what you do is basically put blocks of short advertisements on your blog, and when your visitors click on your ads, you get paid. Simple, isn't? It can be very profitable, especially, if you receive high amount of traffic regularly.

While AdSense is the most popular way to make money with blogs, another method is by selling ad space on your blog. I would say that this one is less profitable, because advertisers pay you a certain amount of money to place their banners or text ads on your blog. So let's say, you are selling 3 ad spaces and each costs $100 a month, then your income will be $300. No more or less. Certainly, the price of ads can greatly vary, but what I want to say, is that AdSense can bring much better results. Probably the combination of these methods would be the best.

And the last method of making money from a blog, which I am going to discuss here is promoting products with which you are affiliated with. Affiliate networks, such as Clickbank or PayDotCom have lots of digital products(downloadble), which you can promote on your blog. You can always find something, that will match your topic. In this case, you will get paid, when someone purchase the product through your affiliate link. The commissions can be really high, such 50% or even 75%, but obviously, it will take more visitors to make a sale, and won't get paid for clicks, like you would in AdSense.

If you can combine all these methods on your blog, then you can expect some really nice online income.
